ABSTRACT: Social media functions not only as a communication platform but also as a space for disseminating motivational messages rich in meaning. Motivational words widely shared on digital platforms possess strong persuasive power due to their semantic elements. This study aims to analyze the meanings of motivational expressions on social media from a semantic perspective. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method. The data consisted of motivational texts collected from social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed by identifying denotative meaning, connotative meaning, metaphors, and semantic relations. The findings indicate that connotative meaning and metaphorical expressions are more dominant than denotative meaning. Semantic relations also play an important role in strengthening the emotional and persuasive impact of motivational messages.
