STRATEGI MAHASISWA MENGATASI KECEMASAN KOMUNIKASI SAAT PRESENTASI DI KELAS 1C

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kecemasan komunikasi yang dialami mahasiswa kelas 1C saat presentasi di kelas, serta strategi yang mereka gunakan untuk mengatasinya. Seperti yang diketahui bahwa kecemasan komunikasi saat presentasi masih menjadi persoalan yang dialami mahasiswa di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan bentuk kecemasan komunikasi yang muncul pada mahasiswa serta strategi yang mereka gunakan untuk mengatasinya ketika melakukan presentasi di kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan subjek 15 mahasiswa kelas 1C yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan dianalisis secara induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan yang muncul meliputi aspek psikologis (gugup, takut salah), kognitif (pikiran tiba-tiba kosong), dan fisiologis (suara bergetar, tangan dingin, detak jantung meningkat). Faktor pemicu kecemasan sebagian besar berasal dari faktor internal, terutama kurang percaya diri, takut dinilai negatif, dan kurang menguasai materi. Mahasiswa memiliki strategi yang beragam untuk mengatasi kecemasan, seperti teknik pernapasan, memegang objek, berpikir positif, berdoa, latihan mandiri, serta memahami materi terlebih dahulu. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa strategi pengelolaan kecemasan bersifat multimodal, menggabungkan aspek fisik, kognitif, dan akademik. Dengan demikian, intervensi peningkatan rasa percaya diri dan lingkungan kelas yang suportif dapat memberikan kontribusi untuk mengurangi kecemasan komunikasi mahasiswa saat presentasi.
