Abstract
Pembelajaran IPA memiliki kriteria ketuntasan minimal dengan nilai 65. Nilai siswa kelas V di SDN 4 Peleyan dalam pembelajaran IPA secara klasikal berada di bawah angka 65. Kenyataan yang terjadi di SD Negeri 4 Peleyan Kapongan Situbondo mengisyaratkan kondisi belajar yang kurang mendukung metode yang digunakan selama ini hanya menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga selama pembelajaran berlangsung siswa kurang aktif dan enggan terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang ditunjukkan dengan tidak membaca buku yang relevan dengan materi yang sedang dipelajari, jarang mencatat penjelasan guru, tidak pernah bertanya baik kepada guru maupun kepada temannya, sering mengabaikan tugas – tugas yang diberikan guru dan juga siswa kurang mendapat kesempatan untuk mengembangkan ide-ide kreatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah (Problem Based Introduction) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi gaya siswa kelas V di SDN 4 Peleyan. Selanjutnya, meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah (Problem Based Introduction) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi gaya siswa kelas V di SDN 4 Peleyan. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V semester II di SDN 4 Peleyan Kecamatan Kapongan Kabupaten Situbondo. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil kerja kelompok, tes formatif, lembar observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar dari siklus I menuju siklus II, yaitu masing-masing 55,5% dan 88,8%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model Problem Based Introduction dapat berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi gaya kelas V semester II di SDN 4 Peleyan Kecamatan Kapongan Kabupaten Situbondo.
